About me
Growing up in Lower Austria, cooking and baking were already among my hobbies as a child (alongside sport and traveling). Healthy, high-quality food has always been very important to me, so it was only natural that I decided to do a double degree in nutritional science and food and biotechnology.
My fascination for spicy food was awakened during a more than 3-year stay in Southeast Asia. Back in Vienna, I spent a long time searching for my beloved spiciness and exotic spices until I started growing my own chilies. The chillies thrived magnificently under the Pannonian sun on the outskirts of Vienna, so that the harvest soon exceeded my own requirements. That's when I had the idea of cooking them into chili sauces.
Motivated by a love of experimentation combined with the necessary know-how, I created more and more different sauces. I drew inspiration from my many travels, resulting in sauces based on Indonesian or Mexican recipes, for example. For the sauces, I mainly use local fruits such as apricots, plums or blackberries and refine them with Indian, Thai or Mexican spices.
At first, I only produced chilli sauces for my own use and to give as gifts to friends and family. Due to the positive feedback from all sides and the increased requests for supplies, I finally founded Fire & Flavor Fusion in 2023.
